How to use Smartsheet for OKR

At Labcorp, I got introduced to Smartsheet for Project activity tracking. I'll focus on tracking OKRs through Smartsheet in this post. Smartsheet is a work management platform that can be used to track and manage OKRs (Objectives and Key Results). Here are some tips on how to use Smartsheet for OKRs:

  1. Create a Smartsheet for each objective. Each Smartsheet should include the objective, the key results, and the progress for each key result.

  2. Assign a responsible party for each key result. This will help to ensure that each key result is being tracked and managed.

  3. Set due dates for each key result. This will help to keep the team on track and focused on achieving the objectives.

  4. Track progress on each key result regularly. This will help to identify any potential problems early on and take corrective action.

  5. Use Smartsheet reports to visualize progress and identify trends. This can help the team to make informed decisions about how to allocate resources and improve performance.

Here is an example of how to use Smartsheet to track and manage OKRs:

Objective: Increase website traffic by 10% in the next quarter.

You can use Smartsheet to track the progress of each key result and identify any potential problems early on. For example, if you see that the SEO Manager is only 25% complete on their key result, you can take corrective action, such as providing them with additional resources or removing roadblocks.

You can also use Smartsheet reports to visualize progress and identify trends. For example, you can create a report that shows the trend in organic traffic over time. This can help you to identify if your SEO strategy is working and make necessary adjustments.

Smartsheet is a powerful tool that can be used to track and manage OKRs effectively. By using Smartsheet, you can help your team to achieve their objectives and improve performance.

Here are some additional tips for using Smartsheet for OKRs:
